Laughing, romping, dreaming, experiencing community and freedom… this is the playground of Aldea Infantil, ‘our’ children’s village in Guatemala. For more than three years, we in Valdivia have been supporting the Children’s Future Foundation — both as a company and as individuals. The village is much more than a place with playground equipment. It is the heart and symbol of the carefree childhood that every child deserves. We want to preserve this symbol and we invite you to join us!

Playing means living

For the 130 children who live in the Aldea Infantil, the playground is a daily meeting place. It is not only a place where they can expend their energy, but also where they can develop valuable life skills. The playground equipment, including swings, seesaws, gymnastic bars and climbing frames, provides moments of joy and development. Children learn to work as part of a team, find their balance and overcome challenges. These small experiences build their confidence and bring the community closer together. Swinging gives them a sense of freedom. Seesaws encourage togetherness. Gymnastic and climbing bars allow children to overcome their limits with courage.

More safety, new diversity

Unfortunately, the ravages of time have left their mark. Many play structures are worn out and no longer meet today’s safety standards. But every child should be able to play without worrying about unnecessary dangers. A modern, attractive and safe playground is not just desirable for children, it is essential — a place where they can experience childhood freely and carefree.
Renovating a playground is more than just a construction project. It is a promise to create a space for children that nurtures, protects and inspires them. A place that not only invites them to play, but also builds valuable foundations for their future — whether that be strengthening personal bonds, learning new skills or experiencing the wonderful feeling of being part of a community.

Give the gift of joy – including to yourself

Your support can make a real difference — to the children, but also to you. Helping here means that many children can laugh and grow up with happy experiences. Together with us in Valdivia, you can transform this place of joy and learning and show the children that they are not alone.

Affordable equipment — specific fundraising goals

Helping to maintain the Aldea Infantil playground is easy: the Children’s Future Foundation has provided us with an overview of the needs.

  • A combination of double swing and junior slide for children aged 1 to 7: €300
  • A combination of climbing tower, double swing and slide for children aged 7 to 16: €800
  • A climbing frame for children aged 12 and over: €800
  • A seesaw and a slide each: €200–300

In total, the Children’s Village needs €3,200 to bring the playground up to date in terms of safety and educational play.

Any amount is welcome and we thank you in advance for your support!
